Hosting and delivery are provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Its details also appear in the English legal notice and the authoritative French version.

Cloudflare processes technical data needed to deliver pages and protect its network. Its privacy policy explains that processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.

Data collected

You can browse the website without creating an account or completing a form. The website takes no payment and does not take reservations itself: the Reserve buttons lead to TheFork, an external service.

  • Connection data: Cloudflare may process your IP address and technical browser information to deliver pages, manage traffic and detect malicious requests.
  • Contact requests: when you contact us by telephone, email, post or messaging, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and request. Please share only what is needed for a reply.

Links to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and TheFork open external services. No social feed or interactive map from those services is embedded in these pages. Their own privacy rules apply if you visit them. When you message us on Instagram, our team handles your request and Meta also processes data related to your use of its platform.

Cookies and trackers

The website contains no advertising tool. Only with your agreement, it sets audience measurement cookies: cookies, collected data, how long your choice is kept and how to withdraw it are set out on the cookie page.

Cloudflare protection services may use technical cookies, depending on the security functions in use. They can help distinguish legitimate visits from automated traffic or remember a security check. Cloudflare describes their operation in its cookie documentation.

You can manage cookies in your browser. Blocking a cookie needed for a security check may prevent access to the website.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Display and secure the website: make information about the place, menu and opening hours available, and protect the service against abuse. These activities rely on the legitimate interest in providing an accessible and secure website.
  • Answer your requests: handle questions sent to the venue, based on the legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us. When a request concerns preparing or performing a service, processing may be necessary for that service.
  • Measure audience: understand how the website is used in order to improve it, using audience measurement cookies. This relies on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
  • Handle your rights: process data requests to meet regulatory obligations.

Recipients are the people responsible for replying at Livresse du Goût and the relevant technical providers: Cloudflare for website delivery and security and for forwarding messages sent to our contact address, Microsoft for the inbox receiving those messages and, if you accept it, for audience measurement, and the messaging platform if you choose that channel.

You may also object to processing based on legitimate interest for reasons related to your particular situation. The right to portability applies when its conditions are met. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise your rights, use the contact details below and specify your request and the exchanges concerned. If there is reasonable doubt about your identity, we may ask only for information needed to verify it.

The regulatory response period is one month from receipt of the request. It may be extended by two months because of the complexity or number of requests. You must be informed of this extension and its reasons during the first month.

You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL if you believe your data rights are not respected.
